A Comprehensive Guide to Cleansing – How to’s and Mistakes to Avoid

Facebook thinks I’m fat. So does Instagram. I’m trying not to be oversensitive or paranoid, but it’s hard when every other advertisement features ultra-slim women demonstrating deep squats in super tight yoga pants or promoting the latest miracle supplement promising to MAGICALLY MELT BELLY FAT OVERNIGHT. There’s the elusive 5-minute daily meltdown exercise too–a top-secret revelation the diet industry doesn’t want you to know about, available for the incredible bargain price of $500 per month! I don’t know how the entire internet found out about all the apple pie that happened to me last month. I didn’t tell a soul. But honestly…I’m not sorry! Not one little bit. I may have put on a couple extra pounds, but that is natural during the deepest depths of winter. All the other cold-weather mammals are holed up in caves, gorged on high-calorie foods. Just sayin’. Start a crazy exercise routine this week if you want to, but all the bears think you are being very silly.

Women don’t deserve to have the social media mean girls coming down on them about their weight every January. We do deserve to feel good and have the health and energy we need to run the world (I don’t mean to leave out the men… I just haven’t seen the ads featuring men squatting in tight pink yoga pants). Let’s quit obsessing about losing weight, and just give our engines a quick tune-up. The primary focus should be providing our bodies with essential resources. This can be easily achieved by incorporating nutritious and cleansing herbs into our daily routine! (Pssssssst…pounds do come off when you focus on feeding your cleansing organs, but please remember that is a happy trivial side effect. It doesn’t have to be the goal.)

Doc Jones has taught about herbal cleanses many times over the years. We compiled all of his blogs and Youtube videos on the subject and linked them here for you. So, grab a yummy, nutritious snack and your favorite fuzzy blanket and binge-watch Doc Jones’ herbal cleanse videos! He doesn’t have any miracle cure-all pills the diet industry doesn’t want you to know about, and he won’t do any squats (though he has, on occasion, threatened to take up belly dancing). However, his comprehensive cleanse lectures will equip you with some positive tools to incorporate joyful, healthy herb habits into your life.

Good Morning, Doc and Lovely Folk at Home Grown Herbalist. I appreciate the Herbal Cleanse information. I would like to download the pdf of the slides, but don’t see a link for that. The google slides link is not a pdf; I can’t access the slides through the google link. Am I overlooking something? Thanks for the presentation. Have a blessed day.

Thank you, Doc Jones, and all the good folks here at Home Grown Herbalist. I would like a copy of the pdf of the slides for “How to Cleanse and how NOT to Cleanse.” I may be overlooking the link to the pdf. I DO see a button for google slides. I do not have a google account and cannot access the slides that way. May I kindly ask where the link to the pdf is? Thank you and have a blessed day.
