The tea tree and its essential oil is historically used as an anti-viral and anti-fungal. The Australian Army uses this oil in first aid kits for their soldiers. You can use tea tree oil in a variety of ways, but it is especially useful for the skin.
The oil of the tea tree can be used to support various skin afflictions such as:
- Ring worm and athlete’s foot

- Heal cuts and scrapes

Tea tree essential oil has incredible healing properties, especially the 100% pure oil. How to use tea tree oil?
Mixed with a carrier oil . Mix 3-5 drops with a carrier and apply to the skin after a bath or shower. We recommend using a lightly scented oil such as almond oil.
As a household cleaner . Add water and vinegar for a non-toxic household cleaner.
As a support for lice and dandruff . Rinse hair with warm water and 5 drops of tea tree oil to one tsp carrier oil to control lice and dandruff.
Healing bath . Add 5 drops to 1 tsp of carrier oil and add to your bath water.
Tea tree essential oil is an amazing skin tonic and can support health in many other ways, so if you have skin conditions it is always recommended to keep the oil on hand.
Safety and side effects
Tea tree oil is generally considered safe as long as it is applied topically. It should never be ingested. Like all essential oils, it is recommended to first do a test with a small amount since in some people it can irritate the skin. It can also cause allergic reactions although they are usually mild.
Taking the oil by mouth can cause vomiting, and diarrhea.
It should not be used on pets, very young children or pregnant women. If you are allergic to eucalyptus you should be careful with this oil.
